On Saturday, June 5, 2010, an exciting annual event debuted in the Capital Region. Salon Musica
is a cultural celebration of music that in its second year will showcase many musical groups at three fabulous
homes in the Historic GE Plot. Known as the “Enclave of Elegance”, this neighborhood features some of the region’s
finest homes that were constructed for GE executives at end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century.
In addition to outstanding musical performances, the event will also feature a high end dessert party and wine tasting.
Evocative of the European salons
of the 18th and
19th centuries,
join us for a celebration of music and song to benefit Schenectady Light Opera Company. The event begins at 6 PM with live
music, wine tasting and hors d'oeuvre at three private homes in the historic GE Realty Plot. At 9PM, guests will gather
at our new theater for a champagne toast honoring members of the Founders Circle. The party will continue with desserts, live
music and dancing into the night.
