Debbie and Dr. Robert DeLuke are longtime community advocates, having been actively involved in Schenectady 2000 and numerous other charities and philanthropic endeavors. The DeLuke residence is located at 1491 Wendell Avenue and directly adjoins the prominent DeLuke dental practice on Nott Street. Built in 1954, the home is a classic example of the contemporary architectural style that became prevalent in the 1950's and 1960's. 1188 Lowell Road, known as the John Parker house, is the residence of Bill McColl.  A long time SLOC member and performer, Bill is also involved with the Octavos, Civic Players, and Glimmerglass Opera.  The house was constructed in 1909 and sports a gambrel roof with a large, central gable.   The first floor retreats on the right, creating a sheltered porch with the second floor cantilevered above it.  To balance this, the parlor projects to the left in a large bay.  You will find grand piano the living room.
